Of course you do! We all love secrets. We love the mystery, we love the thrill of having information that not everyone else has. It makes us feel special. It makes us feel like we are tapped into a special group of people who are somehow different… or even better than everyone else.

If you have seen or read The Secret, you might have noticed the claim that this secret knowledge of the law of attraction has been kept secret for hundreds of years and that only a select few have been allowed to access powerful way to manifest your desires.

Nothing could be further from the truth!

When it comes to success and the law of attraction, the truth is that there really is no ‘secret’. There is no hidden knowledge.

The keys to success, the keys to understanding and applying these ideas have always been here just waiting for you to step up and take advantage of them.

Transforming your life requires two things:

1. Knowledge of how to change

2. Action that initiates the change you want

If you are struggling in any area of your life, this is your solution. Learn how to change and then take action and start making the change.

Learning How to Change

This is the easy part because so much information about the law of attraction is readily available today, just waiting for you to grab it. The bookstores are full of it. The web is overflowing with it. If information was all it took to create the life of your dreams, the world would be full of happy people.

But information alone is not enough!

I’ve found that the problem is seldom that clients don’t have enough information… usually it is quite the opposite, they have so much information that they don’t know where to start. They suffer from overload. They are so worried about the process that they get distracted from their original goals.

Has this ever happened to you?

Success will come when you release your need to master some secret technique and instead focus on the actions that will move you toward your desired outcome. Once you forget about trying to become ‘good’ at the law of attraction, or becoming good at manifesting, once you let go…

Manifest Your Desires Now!

I remember the first time I watched The Secret, I was so excited to finally see a way to manifest my dreams. I remember thinking – “Yes! Now people will understand how simple it really is to create changes.”

But that didn’t happen.

Many people jumped in and began ‘using’ the law of attraction to try to improve their lives, but the majority of them soon became frustrated and gave up.

You might have felt the same way. Have you ever said something like:

“Sure, it works for other people, but not for me.”
“I just have bad luck.”
“I tried it, but nothing happened.”
“I don’t understand, sometimes it works and sometimes I can’t attract anything.”
“I wish my life was better, but nothing seems to work.”

Sound familiar?

It should. You might be surprised to learn that more than 95% of people struggle to apply the law of attraction successfully the first time they try.

This shouldn’t shock you. If you think about it, every other skill you have learned in your life you had to practice in order to reach success, right? How many times did you fall down while learning to walk? Were you an expert driver the first time you got behind the wheel? NO!

When you stay positive and keep improving you find yourself seeing results. But when you are frustrated it can be hard to stay positive. It is really hard to stay positive when the world around you is filled with negativity.

But do you know what happens when you fail to stay positive? That’s right – you start attracting negative things into your life.

So how can you change? How can you make this law of attraction work in your life? How can you avoid the frustration? How are some people able to use the principles behind the law of attraction to create amazing changes in their lives?

To start, here are three easy tips that will help you avoid frustration and confusion, and get you started manifesting your desires with ease.

1. Allowing Yourself to Receive

Imagine a child, lost and alone, who goes up to a police officer and asks, “Excuse me, would you tell me how to get to my house? Would you? Would you? Would you? Would you? Would you?” Well, if the child keeps on asking and asking, the police officer can’t even give an answer, right?

It is the same thing with your mind. If the only thing your mind is doing is transmit, transmit, transmit, the universe — which is trying to respond — can’t answer you because you are not allowing yourself to receive!

Believe in yourself. Have confidence in yourself and stop tiring yourself out by running around wishing and wishing and wishing. It’s like you are zipping about from person to person asking for riches, and then wondering why nobody is dropping a penny in your cup. (Hint: It’s because you’re running away too fast. Before they can even reach for their wallets you are already asking someone else.)

Just ask for your desires and let it go. Trust that the universe will fill your cup with gold coins or whatever your desire is. Allow yourself to receive it!

2. Be Patient

Receiving takes time.

Here is a sad truth: Many people give up just steps from their dream. Some figure if it hasn’t happened by now, it’s never going to happen. Others decide that if they throw more and more energy at the problem or desire that it will happen faster.

This is like expecting a cake to bake in half the time by doubling the oven temperature. It won’t work! All you will accomplish is to create one very burnt cake!

You see, everything has a natural time, a natural flow, and you can’t change that by throwing more energy or resources at your desires.

So relax. Be patient.

You are a part of the universe and you are also governed by the laws of the universe. You can’t change the natural cycle or flow of things.

When you remember this, you will avoid the frustration that comes from trying too hard. Plus, you keep yourself out of that negative state of mind that is easy to get caught up in.

3. Support and Educate Yourself

Like a child learning to walk, you need several things. You need support, you need guidance on how to do it, and you need role models to look up to.

“The Secret” misled many people into believing that The Secret was the final word on the laws that govern success and manifesting.

It is NOT.

The Secret is just a small portion of a bigger solution. It was never intended to be the complete answer.

Deciding that the law of attraction doesn’t work when the only education you ever received about the law of attraction was watching The Secret 27 times, (without changing any of your habits or behaviors,) is like deciding that exercise doesn’t work because you watched a workout video everyday for a month and nothing happened!

It sounds funny, but that’s exactly what many people do. They watch The Secret or some other inspiring movie and believe that they can change their life without changing themselves.

So go. Learn. Look for the answers that work for you. Get around people or groups or communities where you can find the support you need. Learn from each other and share whatever new knowledge you find.

The law of attraction is not a magic genie. The magic is inside you. You just have to do your part!
