How to Reach Your Goals

Reaching your goals – how fast you reach them, and how completely they manifest in your life – depends a lot upon your decision making skills. Every step of your journey from where you are to where you want to be, (your goals), is filled with decisions of every size and level of importance.

Goal setting and goal achievement doesn’t have to be hard or complicated. Once you understand what it takes to go from setting a goal to actually achieving your goal, you will see that a lot of it revolves around the decisions you make all day, every day.

The better you become at making good decisions the sooner your dreams and goals will materialize in your life!

Heroes come in all shapes and sizes and there were plenty around on this day! A terrible accident leaves a motorcyclist stuck under a car that has caught fire. Passersby lifted the car and pulled him out from under the flames. He was saved from a burning car.

Here’s to those people who took action and changed the outcome of this accident for the better! The world is a nicer place with people who care.

“I Feel Happy of Myself!”

Here’s an awesome inspirational video I found on another web site. It’s a video of a boy giving an inspirational speech after successfully learning to ride his bike. It’s pretty short, but I think you’ll like it!

Life has obstacles. It’s what you do when faced with those obstacles that determines your ultimate success and your ultimate happiness.

What do you do when faced with an obstacle in your path?

Do you run away? Or do you take that leap of faith, trusting that you will make it?

It turns out that your biggest gains, your biggest successes in life only comewhen you are stepping outside of your comfort zone, when you are actually making changes in your life.  This is often scary and not something that you might naturally want to do.

But taking that leap of faith, trusting in your ability to succeed, is crucial. If you don’t ever stretch, you won’t ever grow!

When was the last time you took a leap of faith?

When was the last time you had to stretch beyond what is comfortable in order to move towards a goal or dream?

Here is what I have discovered:

When you reach the point of frustration and it doesn’t seem like you will ever reach your goal, THAT is the time when you need to gather your strength and just go for it!

Remember, the only way to truly manifest your desires, is to keep at it until you succeed.

Now go take a leap of faith and you’ll see that trusting your ability to succeed is the right thing to do.

You probably think that you are a pretty good decision maker, right? You make good decisions, don’t you? Don’t answer until after you watch this video featuring Dan Ariely!

Isn’t it interesting how easily the decision making process can be manipulated and twisted?

Do you see how this happens in your own life? You think you are seeing the ‘big picture’ but in reality you are simply seeing just a tiny slice of it at any one time…

There are quite a few lessons here.

The biggest lesson, I think, is that we all need to slow down our decision making. Yes, the ability to make quick decisions is important – but as you can see from the video, often your decisions are influenced by things outside of your control.

Sometimes, like the visual illusions shown in the video, it is impossible to see the truth about a situation without taking extreme measures and changing the way you are looking at things. (Like covering up the Rubik’s Cube so that you can see that the blocks really are the same color.)

Your perspective shapes your reality.

Change your perspective and you will change your life!

The message in this week’s law of attraction video is a simple one: You are in control of your direction in life.

I love it when Esther and Abraham talk about trying to paddle upstream. I’ve been guilty of this myself, and every time that I notice my resistance to the flow of life and I stop and change my thinking, things turn around pretty quickly.

Sure there are lots of things that can distract you from your desires, and you can find yourself resisting the very changes that you want to manifest… but in the end, you will find that you, and you alone, are the one that chooses your path.

This is key to manifesting your desires with the law of attraction. Stop resisting your own efforts!

You resist for two main reasons – either you fear the coming change or you aren’t fully committed to the desire you are trying to manifest and you are hanging on to your old familiar ways.

In either case, as soon as you recognize the problem, you can take steps to correct it and get back on track.

You control your own stream of manifesting, and your power comes from being aligned with your desires and being in the flow, not from resisting them or allowing yourself to be distracted by all that stuff that is ‘upstream’.

Sometimes you will look back upstream and see all those missed opportunities in your life, all those wonderful chances that you let slip by, and you desperately want to go back and do it again. This is resisting.

There are many more opportunities to manifest your desires downstream! Downstream is the whole universe just waiting for you to step forward and claim what you want.

Set your sights on your biggest, grandest dream and never look back!

I told you! I have always loved the humor in Abraham-Hicks messages. They have a way of getting us to see through the madness that we create around ourselves, and to take ourselves a little less seriously. They cause us to step back and realize how simple life is supposed to be and how naturally we can live our lives in harmony with our grandest desires.

You can do the same, right now, simply by choosing to see the humor in your own life, by choosing to see how silly some of your antics look from the outside.

Whatever you are going through right now in your life is just a challenge. You can choose to let it keep you down or you can choose to succeed in spite of it.

The choice is yours, but no matter what you decide, you can be assured that there are more challenges waiting for you around the corner.

So you can choose to be bitter about whatever life handed you… or you can choose to let your challenges make you better. A better person, a better spouse, a better parent, a better friend, a better employee.

Here is your Sunday law of attraction video. This week, Bob Proctor, one of the stars of The Secret talks about your belief systems.  Listen closely as he describes his own awakening, when he learned that the key thing he had done to turn his life around was simply to change what he believed.

Are your current beliefs helping your move toward your dreams?

Or are they holding you back and preventing you from reaching out and claiming those things that you desire?

The problem for some people is that they believe that they can’t change their beliefs… that beliefs are somehow locked in forever.

Nothing is further from the truth!

Your beliefs are constantly being developed and refined based on how you evaluate your life and your world.

All you need to do is to begin changing the way you look at your life…

and your life begins to change!

In the video, Bob Proctor quotes from Napoleon Hill’s excellent book, Think and Grow Rich, which tells us that we all tend to underestimate our own abilities, while at the same time we overestimate the abilities of those around us.

When you stop doing that, when you stop putting others on a pedestal and instead put YOURSELF on a pedestal, then you unlock your true potential – which is UNLIMITED!

Decide right now that you believe in your self, decide that you believe in your own abilities.
