Can you attract love with the law of attraction? Is it possible? Can the love of your life be drawn to you like magic using the laws of attraction? Over and over again I am asked this question. More than money, more than health, more than the jobs and houses and expensive toys, LOVE is the one desire that has the most confusion attached to it. Everyone wants it, and yet, those that have it seem unable to tell you how you can get it yourself. I want to end the confusion and show you an easy way to fill your life with the love that you desire.

So, can you attract love? You absolutely can, but only if you dig deep into the core of the attraction process.

The answer lies in your beliefs. If you believe that you can attract love, then that will become your experience. On the other hand, if you doubt that you have the ability to attract love, you will always struggle in that area.

In some ways, attracting love is no different than attracting anything else into your life. As long as you are clear about your intentions and your desires, and you take action, you will succeed. But unlike the material things that you want to manifest in your life, things like money, cars, toys, etc., love is not a physical thing. Love is a state of mind, an emotion, it is something that you experience or feel. It isn’t something physical that you can pick up and carry home. You can’t put it on your shelf and say, “Look, I manifested this!”

This difference is what can throw you off track with your manifesting efforts. Because what you really want isn’t just to feel love, you want to be ‘in love’. You want someone else to love you back. This takes two things on your part.

First, just as you would when you set any other intention, you must allow yourself to become that which you desire. In this case, you need to become the love that you want. Unless your heart is open and you are giving love yourself, it will be hard for any other person to break through the wall you have built and share love with you.

The second important thing you must do is to take action of some sort. Remember, the law of attraction is based on action, on life being fluid and ever changing. You have to put yourself in the flow of life so that you have the opportunity to realize your desires. The same is true of love.

You have to step up and put yourself in situations and social circles that include eligible partners. This may sound basic, but far too many people are sitting home waiting for Mr Right or Ms Right to knock on their door. It rarely happens!

But if you work on becoming more loving, on becoming the type of person that is in a warm, loving relationship, and you take action – meeting new people, going to new places, maybe signing up for an online dating service – you are certain to find your life filled with love. You absolutely will attract love into your life. The law of attraction is clear about that.

The more you put yourself into that space of love, the more love will fill your life.

Law of Attraction Mistakes

Are you making any of these 7 common law of attraction mistakes? While these aren’t the only mistakes you can make, they are the most common ones that can keep you from truly manifesting the life you want.

In order to fully tap into your power to manifest or create that life you really want, you have to be sure that you are living and acting in alignment with the laws of the universe. If you are feeling stuck at any point in the process, it is probably because you are struggling with one or more of these 7 law of attraction mistakes:

1. Not being consistent – Being consistent in your efforts is the number one thing that you can do to improve your results as you begin applying the principles in the law of attraction. This means developing new habits and new ways of looking at your life. Success will come from the small daily repetitions of the thoughts and actions that you decide are worth taking. Just as exercising only when you ‘feel good’ will never produce excellent health, working on your dreams only when you have time or when you feel good will never change your life. The law of attraction is at work in your life all day, every day. The more consistent you are in what you do, the better the results you get will be.
2. Not understanding the law of attraction - This is a big one too. Unless you fully understand the principles that make up the law of attraction you will always find yourself working harder to create change in your life than is necessary. There is no substitution for knowledge. The more you learn about how life works, the easier it will become for you to move your life in the direction of your desire. Read and study how to apply these principles in your daily life.
3. Not believing - Your belief is an important aspect of your success and happiness. As Henry Ford said, “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t… you are right!” This not only applies the your life in general, but to your beliefs about yourself and your own abilities. If you don’t believe you can change, then you will create situations that make it difficult to change. Check your beliefs!
   
4. Not knowing what you want – Don’t be wishy-washy about your desires. Nothing fuels change more than a crystal clear vision of what you want your life to look and feel like. It is easy to be overwhelmed by the choices that are available to you. It can be hard to choose. But until you decide exactly what you want, you will continue to feel like you are stuck. To attract what you want, you must know what you want.
5. Fear of change – Even though you really, really want something, you might be afraid of the changes that will occur in your life when you get that thing you want. Change is uncomfortable – especially when you don’t do it often. But until you step out of your fear, you will only attract more fear into your life, which in turn makes it harder to change. Embrace change and you will unlock the law of attraction in your life.
6. Not taking action – Manifesting your desires always takes action on your part to complete. Sitting on your couch ‘wishing’ for a better life rarely works. The law of attraction governs the whole you – your mental, spiritual, and physical selves and requires all of you to be aligned with the things you say you want. Taking action toward your desires is the final step that aligns you with your thoughts and beliefs about those desires.
7. Trying to use the law of attraction to change other people – This never works and the only thing it does is bring more frustration into your own life. Yes, you can influence other people or manipulate them into doing something or acting in a certain way, but you aren’t really changing them. The only person you have the absolute power to change is yourself. But surprisingly, when you change, the people around you will respond to that change. You may inspire or motivate them to seek some of their dreams as well.

Jerry Hicks has passed on.

My heart skipped a beat when I read the little blurb on my computer screen. Jerry Hicks had died? I had to read it twice.

I couldn’t believe it. My first thought was, “Oh no, we have lost a wonderful soul, a great thought leader.”

As one third of Abraham-Hicks, Jerry, along with his wife Esther have spent years traveling the country, spreading their message of hope and inspiration, and sharing with people how the law of attraction can help them get more of what they want in life.

They have touched the lives of millions of people from all over the world.

It turns out that Jerry had been battling cancer, but eventually the disease overtook him and Jerry has now transitioned to the next stage of his journey.

He will be deeply missed!

Dear, dear Friends,Our sweet Jerry made his transition into Nonphysical last Friday. How sweet the Vortex is feeling to him today!

Jerry said to me when we came together over 30 years ago that given the difference in our ages that it was likely “that I will cut out on you early,” to which I replied, “I don’t mind.” His joy of life and continual new discovery of purpose kept his life feeling fresh and we shared such joyous eagerness for life.

Over the years, Abraham has consistently insisted that there is no death. Again and again they have reminded us that there is only life and more life and more life. It has taken me some time to understand this, and I honestly must say I have not yet fully come to terms with it, but I do believe that in what we are calling Jerry’s death he is discovering the next logical step of life that Abraham has always been talking about. And at times I am catching a glimpse of the bigness of what Jerry is feeling and while I am still pretty mad at him for not sticking around longer to surprise and delight me in all the ways he has been doing throughout our 30 years together I accept fully that the next logical step of joyous life for Jerry was to be found in his re-emergence into Nonphysical.

Since 1985 it has been Jerry and Esther and Abraham and I believe with everything that I am that that has not changed. I know that Jerry will continue to be the third powerful point of the triad of Energy that makes up the Abraham experience and I am certain that his new vantage point will be, as it has always been, of advantage to us all.

I know for sure that Jerry will help me, in time, release my own personal resistance to physical death, because I will not be able to maintain that resistance and also play easily with him. And my desire to continue not only my Abraham experience but also my Jerry experience I am certain he will be the catalyst to help me do what Abraham has been trying to help us all do all along.

Once again, Jerry is out there leading the way for me. But the difference this time is that I must find the way. I am not there yet, but it is my absolute promise to myself that I will find the way, because it is the most natural thing in the world to do and because Jerry has provided for me the reason to do it.

I am eager about what is ahead and while I cannot begin to explain or even imagine the details of how it is all going to play out, I am certain that it will be fun.

I am such a fortunate girl, to have been able to play with Jerry and Abraham and all of you for so many wonderful years and I am so eager to continue doing more of the same for many more years to come. I feel certain right now that not only has nothing gone wrong, but things are going especially right. It will be different, for sure, but it will also be very, very good.

I’m feeling such love for you all, and for Abraham and most of all for Jerry. And as I have said to him a thousand or more times through the years, “Well isn’t life just a kick in the pants?”

Jerry’s passing touched me, I always admired him. He seemed bright, inquisitive, and articulate, and next to Esther, Jerry Hicks was tops at explaining the principles of the law of attraction.

You know what I remember the most about Jerry? That he always seemed happy. He was always smiling, always radiating the love and pride that he felt about Esther. It was a beautiful thing.

I will miss Jerry. Losing him is almost like losing a dear friend. Donna and I have been reading and listening to Abraham-Hicks stuff for quite a few years now. We were even fortunate enough to see them live on one of their stops in our state.

I think the reason I connect with Jerry so much is that, like myself, he was a seeker. I hope that on this next stage of his journey he finds some of the answers he has been looking for.

Although, I suspect that whatever awaits us after our time here is finished, will only lead us deeper and deeper into the mystery of life.

How to understand the law of attraction.

Understanding the Law of Attraction

The law of attraction is a powerful concept that can help you radically change your life, but learning how to apply it and actually attract your desires can be challenging.

There is a lot of conflicting advice out there, some of which can be downright misleading.  Here is an easy way to get exactly what you want in life by applying this universal law.

The law of attraction is about two things: Your perspective and your objective.

Your Perspective
Your perspective is the way that you look at the world around you, it is about your experience. But here is a funny thing about your perspective – it can change. More importantly, YOU can change it to suit your needs. You see, no two people have the same experience, even if they walk side by side down a street. One person may notice one thing and the other may notice something entirely different.

What you see depends upon many things – your mood, your interests, what has been going on around you and in your life recently, even the opinions of your friends and family… lots of things affect the way you look at the world.

One of the basic building blocks of the law of attraction is that you must change your perspective, you must change the way that you look at the world, so that what you see matches what you want. This isn’t as hard as it sounds. What it means is that you have to stop looking at all the things standing between where you are now and where you want to be, and start looking at the opportunities

The key thing to remember here is that your perspective is flexible and can change.

Your Objective
Your objective is the thing that you want, or your desires. You have to be really, really specific about what you want in order to get the results that will bring you there.  If you have fuzzy goals, you will get fuzzy results. You also have to be clear about the reasons ‘why’ you want to achieve each particular goal on your list.

Be sure that you want your goals for yourself and not to please someone else. Your true attraction power or manifesting ability lies in your passion to change your life. The more passionate you are, the better. Nothing dilutes your ability to attract things into your life more than going after a goal that you don’t really want.

Getting What You Want
Master these two things, your perspective and your objective, and your life will change. If you are clear about them, you will begin to understand the law of attraction and how it will help you get exactly what you want in your life.

The law of attraction is a two-way street!

You don’t have to look far to see a perfect example of how the law of attraction works – all you need to do is to take a look around your life right now!

When you do, you will see exactly what you have been manifesting up to this point. The good, the bad, and the ugly.

If you are anything like I was, you are quick to take the credit for manifesting the ‘good’ stuff in your life, and you are probably just as quick to avoid taking responsibility for those parts of your life that you don’t like.

This is a deadly trap, and one that snares a lot of people who begin applying the law of attraction in their lives. The truth is that the law of attraction is a two-way street. You create everything in your life by placing and holding your attention upon it. When you get good results you are happy and accept the fact that you created this result. But when you get results that are less than good, or less than you expected, you are unhappy, and you allow your ego to step in and take control for a moment. You tell yourself, “This couldn’t be because of something I did, it must be the fault of ______.” And you blame something outside of yourself.

Now, it is true that sometimes things happen out there in the world that seem beyond your control, but even when that is the case, it is your reaction to that event that either allows you to grow or to remain stuck. In either case you attract what you focus on.

Don’t be fooled into thinking that the law of attraction is only about getting good results. It is not. It is only about getting results. Period.

In the town called DESIRE, YOU determine the results you get by deciding which side of the law of attraction street you want to walk down. You can choose one side and walk toward all those things you want to create and manifest in your life… or you can walk down the other side and stay focused on your problems and keep blaming the world for your hardships… and keep manifesting more of the same.

Me? I will be on the side heading toward my dreams, only I won’t be walking, I’ll be running!

I’ve found that the problem is seldom that clients don’t have enough information… usually it is quite the opposite, they have so much information that they don’t know where to start. They suffer from overload. They are so worried about the process that they get distracted from their original goals.

Has this ever happened to you?

Success will come when you release your need to master some secret technique and instead focus on the actions that will move you toward your desired outcome. Once you forget about trying to become ‘good’ at the law of attraction, or becoming good at manifesting, once you let go…

… that’s when the magic happens. That is when you will see your reality beginning to align with your desires.

It’s a process, and the process only works when you leave it alone. Remember, a watched pot never boils!

The message in this week’s law of attraction video is a simple one: You are in control of your direction in life.

I love it when Esther and Abraham talk about trying to paddle upstream. I’ve been guilty of this myself, and every time that I notice my resistance to the flow of life and I stop and change my thinking, things turn around pretty quickly.

Sure there are lots of things that can distract you from your desires, and you can find yourself resisting the very changes that you want to manifest… but in the end, you will find that you, and you alone, are the one that chooses your path.

This is key to manifesting your desires with the law of attraction. Stop resisting your own efforts!

You resist for two main reasons – either you fear the coming change or you aren’t fully committed to the desire you are trying to manifest and you are hanging on to your old familiar ways.

In either case, as soon as you recognize the problem, you can take steps to correct it and get back on track.

You control your own stream of manifesting, and your power comes from being aligned with your desires and being in the flow, not from resisting them or allowing yourself to be distracted by all that stuff that is ‘upstream’.

Sometimes you will look back upstream and see all those missed opportunities in your life, all those wonderful chances that you let slip by, and you desperately want to go back and do it again. This is resisting.

There are many more opportunities to manifest your desires downstream! Downstream is the whole universe just waiting for you to step forward and claim what you want.

Set your sights on your biggest, grandest dream and never look back!
