  • Hi, Bob! Your #3 tip was about doing something nice for someone. Love that one. There have been times when I wanted to do something nice for someone and they refused. Sometimes people simply can’t accept a kind gesture. They do not realize they are robbing the other person of feeling good.

Not too long ago, I saw that a gentleman had run out of gas on the interstate. I was a couple of miles at least to the nearest gas station.

I picked him up, took him to get gas and drove him back to his car. I can not tell you how good I felt. It was truly wonderful.

    Warmly,
    Mary Ann Pine

    @ Mary Ann Pine:
Thanks Mary, I know that some people are not receptive to our efforts, but that’s okay! Try not to feel that they are robbing you of the chance to feel good. Does a closed door rob you of the chance to feel good? No, you simply move on to the next door!

    Peace,
    Bob

Too many people don’t know that happiness is not something that’s “out there” to find; it’s a choice — and one that can be easy to make. You have to know you CAN, though. . . thanks for reminding us how easy it is.

You are right Nancy, a lot of people don’t realize that being happy is really a choice that they can make.

    Peace,
    Bob

Comment Tip - Do you wonder how some people get those nifty little avatars, (the tiny picture,) next to their names? They went to http://www.gravatar.com and got one. It's a free service and is worthwhile even if you only write occasional comments on blog posts. It really helps people relate to what you write when they can put a face to your name. ~ Bob
